by Clyde Petersen – United States, 2016
(60', O.V. with Italian subtitles)
California, the ‘90s. Raised by a schizophrenic mother that torments her with her conspiratory delusions, the twelve-year-old transgender Clyde does not have an easy life. The arrival of puberty and the discovery of her sexual identity make the situation even more difficult.
The award winner independent transgender director Petersen tells a story of growth and self-discovery with humour and great personality, that the director describes as “A queer punk coming-of-age tale”. An incredibly original work.
Born in Seattle, Clyde Petersen works with movies, music, installations and plays and she is a member of the transgender and queer community of Seattle. Her movie Torrey Pines debuts in 2016 and is airing right now in various cinemas all around the world.
