Roger Mainwood

Roger Mainwood studied art at the London College of Printing (now the London College of Communication) and Film and TV department of the Royal College of Art.

He started working in the animation industry at Halas and Bachelor Studio in 1979.

He directed the feature film Ethel and Ernest based on Raymond Briggs’ book about his parents.

Tomm Moore

Tomm Moore was born in Newry, Northern Ireland, and studied animation at Ballyfermot College in Dublin. He co-founded the animation studio Cartoon Saloon and has written, produced, animated and directed short films and commercials. He directed the animated feature The Secret of Kells (2009), which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Song of the Sea is his second feature, and he also directed a short film portion of Kahlil Gibran’s the Prophet.

Jim Muro

James Michael Muro (accreditato come Jim Muro, Jimmy Muro o James Muro in precedenza nella sua carriera, e J. Michael Muro dal 2005) (New York, 1966) è un regista e direttore della fotografia statunitense.

È conosciuto principalmente per il suo lavoro di Steadicam. alla fine degli anni 80 e 90 è stato operatore steadicam di James Cameron nei film: The Abyss, Terminator 2 - Il giorno del giudizio, True Lies e Titanic. Ma ha anche fatto l'operatore steadicam in Balla coi lupi di Kevin Costner, vincitore di sette premi oscar. Hayao Miyazaki

Born in Tokyo in 1941, Hayao Miyazaki began his career as an animator at Toei Animation, where he met the director Isao Takahata. In 1978 he directed the TV series Future Boy Conan and in 1979 the film Lupin the Third: Castle of Cagliostro. In 1985 he and Takahata founded the Ghibli Production Studio, where they made Castle in the Sky (1986), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989) and Porco Rosso (1992). With Spirited Away (2001) they conquered the Golden Bear of the Berlin International Film Festival and the Oscar. In 2004 Howl’s Moving Castle received the Osella d’Oro prize at the Venice International Film Festival.

Shuhei Morita


Born in 1978, Shuhei Morita became known as a director for his work on the computer graphic animated short KakuRenBo (2004), awarded at the Tokyo Anime Awards and at the Fantasia Film Festival. He is also known for the series of OAV in the computer graphic film Freedom (2006) awarded in Japan for visual innovation and his collaboration with the designs of Katsuhiro Otomo.

Shuhei Morita

Shuhei Morita è nato in Nara una regione del Giappone. Tra i suoi lavori più importanti ci sono “KAKURENBO” (vincitore del Tokyo Anime Awards come miglior film e del Short Film Gold Award al Fantasia Film Festival) e “FREEDOM” (vincitore del Technology Award al Japan Visual Technology Award).

Anne Magnussen

Anne Magnussen, expert photographer and director, comes from the Norvegian Film School obtaining big recognitions. She worked on many TV productions and her documentary activity made her famous for the big contribution to the orphans and the teenagers wrecked by the addictions. Habitual journeys among England, France and Baltic States made international contacts for her possible with many co-producers.


Ryôtarô Makihara

Ryotaro Makihara is a Japanese animator and film director. He directed his first film HAL in 2013, which was written by Izumi Kizara.


Bertrand Mandico

Born in 1971 in Toulouse, he graduated from Gobelins animation school’s cinematographic director program, in Paris. During the years, Bertrand cultivated his own aesthetic characterised by an interesting black humour that merges together macabre and burlesque elements. He enriched his cinematographic studies with in-depth studies on photography, collage and drawing and he made 40 short films, like spot and musical videos, that gave him various awards.



Zoltàn Miklòsy

Zoltán Miklósy is a Hungarian animator and director.


He produced works for Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon idents, and directed some commercials series  for LIDL. Manieggs – Revenge of the Hard Egg, is the main project of his production house Umatik Entertainment.
